Rates & Insurance

All acupuncture treatments may also include additional therapeutic practices such as Chinese medicine, Infrared-heat, Gua sha, or Cupping.



Initial Consultation / Follow Up Treatment - $100 / $80


  • 60-90 minutes / 30-45 minutes

  • A comprehensive intake with a review of all relevant health history

  • A full-length acupuncture session and/or its related modalities such as Herbal Consultation / Cupping / Gua Sha / Moxibustion




Initial and Follow Up Acupuncture & Herbs Treatment




Initial Herbal Consultation / Follow Up Herbal Consulation -$80 / $50


  • 45-60 minutes / 20-30 minutes

  • A comprehensive intake with a review of all relevant health history and prescription of a herbal formula.

  • Follow up will be a review of the progress of the prescribed herbal formula, discussion about the future plan, and/or prescription/modification of herbal formula if needed.

  • * The cost of herbs is separate from herbal consultation.



Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture -$250


  • 90-120 minutes

  • An intake with a review of all relevant health history

  • A full-length of advanced Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture



Acupuncture: eligible with a Flexible Spending Account (FSA)


Westchester Health Acupuncture accepts a Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Acupuncture is an eligible expense with a flexible spending account (FSA), health savings account (HSA) or health reimbursement arrangement (HRA). In some cases, benefits administrators may require a Letter

of Medical Necessity (LMN) to substantiate the expense. Acupuncture is not eligible for reimbursement with a limited care flexible spending account (LCFSA) or a dependent care flexible spending account (DCFSA).

We accept most insurance for acupuncture if there is out-of-network coverage for acupuncture under your plan.  Acupuncture Lists of insurance we accept include, but not limited to the following plans for acupuncture in New York:

  • United Healthcare

  • The Empire Plan


  • Magnacare

  • Oxford Health

  • PPO, POS Plans


Please note that HMO Plans, Medicare and Medicaid generally do not cover acupuncture. 




Before you come in, please call our office or make an appointment online with your health insurance information, including the following:


  • Full Name

  • Your Date of Birth

  • Insurance Company/Plan Name 

  • Insurance Member ID Number


And we will 


  1. Verify coverage for acupuncture and other services under your insurance plan and any additional cost associated with your insurance plan such as deductible and copay, if applicable.

  2. Submit acupuncture claims to your insurance company.
